5 Quick Tips On How To Lose Belly Fat!

Okay so you want to lose belly fat, have six-pack abs and a chiseled mid-section...The good news is that it is entirely possible no matter what shape, size or weight you are...The bad news is that you probably have had the wrong information on losing belly fat for a while now...In fact most people have the wrong idea when it comes to how to lose belly fat and keep it off for good...

Here are 5 tips that will help you get started!

Tip # 1-  Losing belly fat is 80% diet and 20% exercising:

Many people have this equation completely wrong and wonder why they do not see results.  These are the people who are in the gym, exercising until they want to throw up but still look overweight and out of shape...Many times these people have a terrible diet and that is the exact reason why they can't tone up and get six pack abs....Then there are those people who you only see every so often and they are incredible shape...These are the people who follow a nutritious diet and look the way they do because of the foods they eat...Focus on diet first and exercise second!

Tip # 2- No More Junk!

Throw out all of the junk food you have in your house.  This means no more potato chips, french fries, soda, milky ways, ice cream, fast food etc…By having access to these foods you are only delaying your own success...Be strong and "kick em to the curb"...This will be hard at first but you will thank me later.

Tip # 3- Drink WATER with meals and nothing else:

One of the most important and best ways to lose belly fat is by drinking only water with your meals.  You wouldn’t believe how many empty calories are in certain drinks like sodas, iced teas, lemonades and even fruit juices.  Just by doing this step alone you will start seeing results...The only exception to this rule is drinking Green Tea which can actually help you lose weight!

Tip # 4- Cut Back on Carbs!

This tip is essential for losing belly fat.  Cut back on the amount of carbohydrates you eat throughout day.  Most importantly DO NOT eat any carbs after 6 PM at night.  In doing so the food will sit in your stomach while you sleep and add to that stubborn belly fat making it even harder to get rid of.  Instead you want to try and eat higher amounts of lean protein like chicken breast, tuna, eggs, almonds etc. throughout the day.  (Every 4-5 days re-incorporate carbs back into your diet to energize your body for the next cycle)

Tip # 5-  PATIENCE!

Realize that losing belly fat is not a race and you shouldn't rush this process...Do not get discouraged if you don't see results and do NOT quit!  You need to look at your weight loss journey as a marathon and not a sprint for the best results.  Stay positive, stay open and stay motivated and you can achieve anything!

Losing belly fat isn't that hard once you have the right knowledge but remember to focus on the steps that matter as I have laid out for you here.  Notice how I didn't get into exercising in this post at all, because that is one of the least important steps (at first) to getting rid of belly fat.  If you are interested in exercising check out my blog post on "How To Lose Belly Fat By Exercising"
